Since I started my photography adventure, I have been taking baby steps towards my goal of one day being a wedding photographer.  Well, this weekend I went from baby steps to full on skipping!

Jeffrey Neal of JNP Studios (the awesome photographer who shot my wedding) was kind enough to bring me on as a second shooter this weekend for a wedding in Irvine.  The wedding was at the Hyatt Regency and was such a fun wedding! Jeffrey was awesome to work with, gave me some great tips, and really allowed me to immerse myself in “a day in the life of a wedding photographer.”

Here is a picture of me holding a massive (and heavy! Seriously, I have a sore arm today!) lens that Jeffrey snagged on his iPhone so he could post it on his twitter.

Oh yeah, I am so hard core….ahahaha…anyways…..

I had so much fun on Saturday and it has reinvigorated an enthusiastic spirit around pushing myself towards my goal.  I loved learning about all the different lenses, seeing a wedding from the vendor side of things, working with an adorable couple who made me want to fall in love with Scott all over again, the In-N-Out the bride and groom served for dinner, the feeling that I was a part of something special, and of course the privilege of working with such a fabulous photographer.  I am so appreciative of the opportunity Jeffrey afforded me and hope to shoot with him again :)

When I get some of the images I took back from Jeffrey I will for sure post them! I am so curious to see how they turned out! I think I snuck a few good ones in here and there :)

Anyways, it was an awesome weekend and I look forward to the next wedding I will be fortunate enough to be a part of.

Happy Sunday!
