Wow, Thanksgiving has come and gone and I find myself still beaming from all that I have to be thankful for. Granted, I try and be grateful each day, but this time of the year really brings out the happy and the gratitude.

And it was my first Thanksgiving with my husband :) Even though we have been together for nearly nine years, we have actually never spent Thanksgiving together. We didn’t really even realize this until we were driving over to my parents house and suddenly became wildly aware of the fact that we would be passing each other mashed potatoes and dinner rolls and the awkwardly delicious canned cranberry sauce.  We usually only shared leftovers after we did our own thing, at our own houses, but this was the end of splitting time, this was the real deal.

We had a fabulous time with both of our families and I really started to feel the wonderful effects of our individual lives merging into one, married couple.  It was a great first, and ninth, Thanksgiving :)

Scott and I spent the weekend in northern California and how refreshing it was to see leaves of color and hear the rustling of the wind.  We found fall again.  Don’t get me wrong, I love living in southern California, but sometimes if it weren’t for the pages of the calendar changing, I think we would forget there were seasons.  It was so nice to really feel the fall in the air and see fall on the trees and walk through fall on the ground.

I was grateful for re-discovering fall :)

Here our some photos I snapped on a nice little walk with the dogs.

And I know this one is totally out of focus, but I still really like it :)

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Happy Monday!

P.S. Who invented Cyber Monday!? As a self-proclaimed expert shopper, I am surprised I have never heard of this. Happy holiday shopping!
